Meet the people behind Big Red Cape Productions.

Jon Bresman - "Big Shot Writer/Producer"
Jonathan Bresman has worked for Lucasfilm on The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, Radioland Murders, and Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. During principal photography of Episode I, he served as a member of the Star Wars documentary crew as www.starwars.com's production correspondent. During post-production, Bresman returned to Lucasfilm's Skywalker Ranch to write the book, The Art of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. A former student of Spike Lee and Jamaica Kincaid, Bresman has also studied animation writing at AFI's Television Writers Workshop. While an undergraduate at Harvard, Bresman interned for The Late Show with David Letterman, Marvel Comics, Valiant Comics, and for MAD magazine, for whom he has worked as a freelance writer. Prior to Big Red Cape, he served as Creative Director of content design firm Kerplink/Vis-a-vis, where he co-created and co-developed several cartoon properties - two of which won first prize in two separate categories at the 2001 World Animation Celebration.
Erik Girndt - "The Line King"
Erik Girndt always had a love for art as a child, but it wasn't until high school that he decided that he wanted to go into the field of animation. Since Hawaii was not exactly a hotbed of animation, Erik enrolled at Orange Coast College where he earned his AA in Computer Arts. He then moved up to San Francisco to attend the Academy of Art College in order to further his animation education. After graduating with a BA in Traditional Animation/Illustration, he went on to work as an animator and character designer at Spunky Productions. It was at Spunky Productions that he met fellow animator Jeff Jackson. After the closing of that studio, Jeff brought Erik on as a fellow animator at Kerplink/Vis-a-vis, where they worked on the award-winning "Cosmic Soda Pop" animated trailer and "Nix Nax" cartoon shorts. Erik now heads up Big Red Cape's animation clean-up team, and also collaborates with Jeff Jackson on comic illustration and character design.
Jeff Jackson - "Titan of 2D"
Jeff Jackson earned his degree in Graphic Design/Illustration and Animation from San Jose State University. Since that time, he has worked extensively in both fields. Illustration has always been his first love, and he has worked for numerous clients, including Hoopoe Books, for whom he illustrated his first children's book, "The Silly Chicken." But, the area Jeff now finds the most fascinating is animation. He has worked as an animator for Spunky Productions, and, immediately prior to joining Big Red Cape, he worked as Flash Animation Supervisor at Kerplink/Vis-a-vis, where he was the driving force behind the company's victories at the 2001 World Animation Celebration. In addition to serving at Big Red Cape, he also currently teaches Storyboarding and 2D Animation at Cogswell Polytechnical College in Sunnyvale, CA.
Kingsley Leong - "The Duke of Doodlers"
Kingsley Leong was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and spent his his early youth watching sentai shows - Japanese television programs about five warriors who fought giant monsters with giant robots. Utterly enchanted, he began incorporating giant robots into all his drawings and doodles. After a high school career spent largely on creating his own giant robot comics, he majored in computer engineering at San Jose State University. However, he still loved to draw and took as many art classes as he could. Kingsley soon discovered Cogswell Polytechnical College's Computer Video and Imaging program and decided to switch schools. Once there, he showed such potential that he was hired by Kerplink/Vis-a-vis while still a student. Now a recent graduate with a BA in Computer Video and Imaging, Kingsley currently serves as resident storyboard artist and cartoonist for Big Red Cape.
Terry Robinson - "Lord of the Third Dimension"
Terry Robinson was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Early on in life, he fell in love with animation and classic movies. While attending junior college, he rediscovered this love of animation and film, and redirected his efforts. In the meantime, he had a job with a civil engineering firm and was thrust into using AutoCAD. In using this application, and its many powerful features, he found that he had a knack for working in 3D. He used this newfound skill to pre-visualize subdivisions, so the client and planning commissions could get a grasp of how the project would visually impact the surrounding area. While engaged in this activity, a friend informed him about a new program at Cogswell Polytechnical College. He transferred to Cogswell, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer and Video Imaging. After graduation, he went to work for 3Dfx Interactive, where he worked on a VRML website and 3D corporate presentations. Terry then went on to join Kerplink/Vis-a-vis as lead 3D Modeler/Animator and was instrumental in creating the 3D elements of the award-winning "Cosmic Soda Pop" trailer. Terry then went on to Big Red Cape, where he serves as chief 3D animator.
